Google Chrome is Now the Leading Browser
For some time, Internet Explorer was the most used web browser. However, recent statistics from StatCounter show Google Chrome as the new leading web browser for 2012. The statistics show in 2011, Google Chrome accounted for 19.66% of the global market while Internet Explorer accounted for 43.85%
Data shows Internet Explorer on a decline for 2012. The former most used web browser now accounts for 31.5% with Chrome surpassing Internet Explorer at 32.85%. Currently, Google Chrome is only ahead of Internet Explorer by a small percent but statistics show it to be constantly increasing.
